The workshop will start at 5pm on Friday evening with an opening orientation followed by classroom lectures on shooting tips & techniques. On Saturday morning we will meet one hour before sunrise to be on location in the refuge to begin shooting. The field session will last until 11am. We will then break for lunch and meet for afternoon class at 12:30pm. This classroom session will last for 1.5 hours and cover Lightroom/Photoshop workflow training. We will then be in the field once again 2:30pm until after sunset. We can have a group diner together in town once we return. On Sunday, we will meet once again one hour before sunrise and will plan on finishing up after a final classroom image critique and presentation no later than 2pm.
This workshop will include a large chunk of time dedicated to digital darkroom training in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. In addition to discussing RAW workflow, cataloging and Joe’s essential digital darkroom techniques, we will also be working with essential plug-ins like NIK filters. Classroom sessions will take place in between field sessions in the afternoon and at night. We will also have at least two classroom critiques of students work over the weekend.
